Glen Taylor, Director
Alberta

Glen Taylor is a consultant in the field of minority francophone education in Canada. He works with school boards and other organizations at the local, regional and national levels to promote the participation of all section 23 parents, regardless of their French-language skills, in their children’s educational life.

A graduate of Université Laval and the Université de Montréal, Mr. Taylor was highly involved, during the 1990s, in opening a French-language school, establishing a francophone school board and implementing francophone governance in southern Alberta.

In 2002, he wrote I’m with you!, the first book in Canada on French-language education intended for mixed francophone/non-francophone couples. He went on to become, among other things, editor of the bilingual magazine ConnEXions, creator of a series broadcast on Radio-Canada, and trainer of teams of resource persons. In 2007, he published Fusion, a book written for parents and educators which remains the only resource of its kind in Canada.

Glen Taylor’s involvement as a parent has evolved into a personal mission to promote francophone education and thereby ensure that Canada’s minority francophone communities continue to grow and flourish.
