Recently retired from the Public Service of Canada after a career spanning 37 years, Mme Collette has a vast experience in the fields of economic and social development and management. A translator by profession, she rose to the highest rank of the Public Service of Canada, that is that of Deputy Minister and her last postings were Senior Advisor to the Privy Council of Canada and President of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency. Mme Collette is titular of two honoris causa doctorates conferred by the Université de Moncton and the University of Prince Edward Island. She is an officer of the ordre national du mérite de la France and was recognized with the New Brunswick Lieutenant-Governor's Award for excellence in public administration. She is the former Chair of the Public Service Pensions Advisory Committee and sits on many volunteer boards of directors.
